NBPNP Calculator

Estimate your New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) Strategic Initiative Stream score.

What is the NBPNP Strategic Initiative Stream?

The New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream is for French-speaking candidates with the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to New Brunswick's economy. It is scored out of 100, with a minimum of 65 points required, and requires NCLC 5 or higher French in all four language abilities. This is the only NBPNP stream with a published numeric points grid -- New Brunswick's other streams use different, eligibility-based criteria.

This calculator covers the Strategic Initiative Stream only

NBPNP's Strategic Initiative Stream is specifically for French-speaking candidates and requires NCLC 5+ French in all four abilities. Its relationship to the federal Express Entry system (and the usual +600 CRS bonus a nomination adds) was not clearly confirmed during research -- confirm this directly with NBPNP. New Brunswick's other streams (Skilled Worker, Express Entry Labour Market) do not use this points grid.
